The Costume Museum is hosting an exhibition with some of the iconic pieces During the period covered the decades from 1920 to 1970 flourished in Spain, the English called Haute Couture, a phenomenon of splendor in the important English designers who became great teachers, thanks to some exquisite creations that anticipated what would later be known as prêt-à-porter.
The temporary exhibition, which will remain open to the public until November 28, proposes a review of this golden age of English design pieces from major cities that made up the former English Cooperative Couture, like Barcelona, \u200b\u200bMadrid, San Sebastian and Paris, city which one of the most important twentieth-century couturier, Cristobal Balenciaga, the English design exported to international markets.
More than 80 costumes, among which include cocktail dresses, ceremony, evening, bridal or street, along with suits and coats that represent the evolution of haute couture in Spain show not only the trends of the time, also an industry and aesthetics with designation of origin, which was recognized within and outside Spain.
